Goodwin & Kramer
Barrington Hill Wedding
On the day of the wedding, Alexandra started her morning preparing with her bridesmaids at her parents home with Stephen & his groomsmen close by. The girls had their make up done on location by artist Casey Hodgin, and hair styled by Meghan of Capelli Salon. There were tears abound for Alexandra’s very emotional First Look with her Dad! Such precious moments between them…Next, was they all anticipated First look for our bride & groom!!! Alex looked like a princess, and these two couldn’t stop smiling at each other! **Note to future brides & grooms: When contemplating a First Look, always say yes!
It’s an awesomely intimate private moment that you wouldn’t want to miss out on!
Later, we all headed over to Kingdom Hall for the lovely ceremony. This was followed by Cocktails and full Reception at the absolutely lovely Barrington Hill Farm in Dade City. Fabulous detail: Alexandra & Stephen opted for individual cake centerpieces on each table in lieu of table numbers. They had 9 cakes total, and a full donut dessert bar…Talk about Sweet! They danced into the evening on the romantically lit dance floor, and finished the night with a choreographed firework send off…the perfect ending for their Fairy Tale Wedding!Their amazing team of wedding professionals included: DJ & Emcee Travis of Nature Coast Entertainment, gorgeous Decor, lovely Florals and beautiful cakes all provided Barrington Hill Farm. The Venue Coordination by Alicia Trias and her excellent staff at Barrington Hill Farm, made sure that every detail was taken care of for the happy couple and their guests. In the words of the bride and groom:What 3 words would you use to describe your wedding theme or decor?Soft, Romatic, SouthernHow and where did you both meet?We had known each other for a long time but there was never much of a romantic interest. In fact, we didn’t like each other. Sometimes this is still true…Anyways, our parents were determined to get us together so we eventually went out with them during Alexandra’s parents anniversary. We hit it off pretty quick and realized we were compatible. What were your initial thoughts/impressions when you meet each other for the first time I thought Stephen was a big nerd, but than I found out he always had a way of making me smile and laugh. I decided I wanted to have his babies. – Alexandra I always thought Alexandra was quiet and boring.
I found out she isn’t quiet but is still boring. I fell for her boring self pretty quickly! – StephenDescribe the proposal Stephen insisted we play a stupid couples game after a day of kayaking. I really didn’t want to play it, but I didn’t have much of a choice. We answered silly questions like “What is your significant other’s favorite color?” etc…eventually we got to the last question “What would you do to prove you love your significant other?” Stephen turned around his card and it said “Will you marry me?”I cried. A lot. In fact I didn’t say yes right away because I was stunned. He also didn’t get on one knee; so that was annoying.Describe the wedding planning process Stephen tried getting involved, but I wanted to take care of it. I let him plan the honeymoon, DJ, photographer, and I did everything else. How did the bride choose her dress?I tried on a ton of dresses until I found the one. I knew I wanted a ballgown. The bigger the better in my mind even though I’m only petite size. Glitter and tulle in my dress was a must and my wedding gown had everything I dreamed of! How did you chose your venue? What made you fall in love with the location? We wanted to have a Southern/country wedding. We loved the fact the house had a colonial look, set on a hill, and was on a farm. The indoor/outdoor aspect of it sold us.Describe the wedding day. The wedding day was full of love and happiness. Everything went so smoothly, no bumps in the road. The weather was a beautiful October day. Family and friends surrounded us during the happiest moments of our lives.Describe the ambiance of the wedding reception, décor, food, special touches and special moments. It was a cool October evening with the sound of music, lights on the columns of the house, warm bench tables with inviting arrangements, and cakes on every table. We all had a teary eyed moment when the parents give their speeches, but tears of joy. The night finished with a spectacular fire work exit.Describe overall feeling at the end of the wedding day.It was truly our dream wedding. We couldn’t have imaged our wedding any other way. All of our friends and family surrounded us during our special moment together. Include any additional information you may want to share. Such as humorous stories that might have happened, obstacles you may have had to overcome such as weather, transportation, or anything else you feel may be of interest. When we exchanged rings my band fit perfectly on my finger. But Stephens ring on the other hand did not want to go on. I had to force it on his finger until it fit. I will never forget that moment of panic! Will the ring fit? Yes after forcing it on!
